Conservation can be more effective than new production

The United States through improvements in energy efficiency has managed to save more energy yearly than their total yearly nuclear output.

We need to reconsider the direction we are moving in. We need to take the cap off windpower and stop pushing nuclear. We need work on energy improvements before building new capacity.

Health Care in the land of Plenty

Alberta in 2006 had a record year for oil royalties. The government of Alberta has more money than it has ever had but we are short of doctors and we do not have enough money for hospitals. This does not make any sense to me. The government of Alberta is aware that we have an aging population and that we are going to need more doctors not less.

It is time that we lowered the tuitions for people going into medical school in Alberta and refunded their student loans if they stay in the province to work. We also need to give our doctors a raise the coincides with inflation.
